I started the Crossfit program in July of 2005. I have been running for about 10 years, including many half marathons and one very long marathon in 2000. I was finding running a little boring and wanted to mix it up a little and work other areas of my body. Also, I was turning 50 in the summer of 2007 and was very conscious of not wanting to let it all "go ", so to speak. A friend recommended Jenika and the Crossfit training program. In the 2.5 years I have been training, I have been seriously impressed with the results in my fitness level, body muscle definition, and corresponding changes in my abilities and personal outlook on exercise. The program is intense, creative, interesting and challenging. Jenika is incredibly supportive and knows just how far to push my personal envelope without invoking the desire to flee and never return. I am amazed at what I have achieved so far and what I can do now, I am looking forward to continuing to work with Crossfit Westside to see just where this might take me. I have achieved the age of 50 and am now in the best shape of my life, it's all amazing – I love it !
