What is Crossfit Westside?


  • Crossfit Westside in Vancouver offers one on one training and group classes using the crossfit strength and conditioning philosophy. We take functional movements, mix them up, and execute them in short intense workouts. We use movements such as the squat, push up, pull up, sit up, deadlift, lunge, rowing, running, skipping, biking, and more. Each workout has a different combination of exercises with varied repetitions, rounds, and time.

2nd Crossfit Westside Powerlifting Finals

Dawne215dl_2  We had our second Crossfit Westside Powerlifting Finals. Our athletes trained for six weeks. Everyone did fantastic! Dawne had never lifted heavy before this class. We were so proud of her when she deadlifted 215lbs in the finals.

Johnnypress

This was Johnny's second time doing the 6 week powerlifting program. He increased his max deadlift from 300lbs to 325lbs. And his press increased over 25lbs!

One of the great things about Crossfit is that it allows you to do things...fun things! Rather than being an onlooker it gives you the functional fitness and strength to go out and climb higher mountains, run farther distances, and to see the world from a different view...like this one, from the top of the rope at Venice Beach. Go play and have fun, that is what being in shape is all about!

Ironman

Michael getting some before his half-ironman race this weekend. We did a spin off from one of Crossfit's online workouts. We did 12 burpees and 12 sumodeadlift high pulls, 10 rounds, for time. It shocked all of us! I don't think any of us thought it was going to be this CRAZY!

Davidmtnbiking_2 We know the weather sucks right now! We are all tired of the rain and ready for some sun! But this doesn't mean we still can't go out and have some fun. Our client David is having a blast on his bike. The drop he takes is amazing! I guess what blows our minds even more is that David is 50! You would never guess when you see him, see him working out, or ripping it up on his bike! Keep on playing David. We love it!
