What is Crossfit Westside?


  • Crossfit Westside in Vancouver offers one on one training and group classes using the crossfit strength and conditioning philosophy. We take functional movements, mix them up, and execute them in short intense workouts. We use movements such as the squat, push up, pull up, sit up, deadlift, lunge, rowing, running, skipping, biking, and more. Each workout has a different combination of exercises with varied repetitions, rounds, and time.

Mark Rippetoe was at Crossfit Eastside in Seattle this weekend. He was teaching his basic barbell certification and it was amazing! We learned all the essentials of the back squat, press, deadlift, hang clean and bench press.

We also met a ton of great people and it was great to see so many girls there. (Starting from the left) Kelley from Ocean City Crossfit, Ann and Meaghan from Crossfit Bold Moves, Shanny, Carrie, Kelly from Crossfit Vancouver, Gail, Jenika, and Shirley.

Come check out our classes this week at George Wainborn Park. Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm. And our new indoor class on Saturdays at 10am. For more information regarding Saturday classes please contact Robyn at robyn@crossfitwestside.com

We started goofing around with the kettlebells and decided we were going to see how much weight we could do with our sit ups.

We complete all Kettlebells, the heaviest being 88lbs. So we decide to move onto dumbells. The largest dumbell we had was 90lbs.

Carmen then decides to go for 120lbs... and she makes it! Great job Carmen!
